When it comes to being sick, we tend to do everything we can to alleviate the symptoms and kick the illness to the curb BUT what about the recovery?
When we get sick, our bodies put everything they have into fighting the infection. This is why the aftermath can have us feeling drained and the feelings can linger on and on. Our body is inflamed and it needs extra nourishment to heal.
Three things my family has on hand for moments likes these...
Golden Turmeric-
If you have not looked at this supplement yet, you are missing out on a stellar turmeric supplement that will not find anywhere else. It contains 24 times more bioavailable turmeric than your standard product. It also contains Frankincense resin! Frankincense resin!!! Your body will be thanking you for supporting any issues of inflammation it is struggling with.
There is a reason this gem is currently out of stock but one of my favorites that you can use in it's place until it returns is AgilEase. This also contains Turmeric and Frankincense resin in capsule form. To top it off you have a bundle of oils to support inflammation AND collagen and glucosamine.
Immupro-
If you haven't search melatonin and the vid, please do! Immupro is so much more than a melatonin supplement. Not only does it contain melatonin, it also contains antioxidants, to combat all the oxidative stress our bodies are exposed to everyday, especially if we have been sick. You also get a dose of zinc and selenium. The adaptogenic mushroom blend in these chewable tablets, gives you an extra punch in combating oxidative stress and inflammation.
Frankincense & Lemon-
Put this in some coconut oil and massage over your chest, neck and lymph nodes. Lemon is cleansing & Frank is healing and supports an issues of inflammation. Also, a great addition to an Epsom salt bath as your nurse your body back to health.
***Bonus: if you have Thieves chest Rub, I would add a couple of drops to over your application of chest rub.

This is a simple tool to keep on hand. Store it in a glass jar with a lid so that it's ready to go when you need it. The last thing you want to be doing when you aren't feeling yourself is whipping up remedies in the kitchen. Be prepared!

Lemon…
This $12 bottle of oil that packs a punch. The list of uses almost seems endless. I am going to list some below, but rest assured, that list could go on and on. Here are some fun facts about lemon oil.
Fun Facts:
It takes 75 lemons to get one 15 mL bottle of Lemon Oil.
Lemon is distilled from the rind, not the fruit portion. What does this mean? Lemon is pH neutral. If you are someone that struggles with an acidic tummy, lemon oil may be a better option over lemon juice.
Key Constituents:
Limonene, Gamma-terpinene, Beta-pinene
According to the Essential Oils Desk Reference, lemon oil is considered an immune stimulant, supports the circulatory system, can support issues related to UTIs, is a great addition to a skincare routine when it comes to breakouts, and can be used to support the digestive tract.
Diffusing:
Diffusing lemon not only helps with stale odors and air, but its cleansing properties make it the perfect addition to an immune support blend. It is also perfect when trying to promote relaxation and balance your mood when you are feeling down in the dumps.
Topical:
Lemon is a great addition to a DIY face toner or moisturizer. Please note, it is considered photosensitive, and caution should be taken if you are going to be out in the sun. It is also considered a “hot” oil. This means it requires dilution with use of a carrier oil before applying to your skin. I personally, love lemon in our immune support roller blend with Thieves and Frankincense.
Internal:
Lemon is a great addition to your water or to a capsule with carrier oil. If you are looking to support your circulatory system, your digestive tract, or just wanting to provide your body with another load of antioxidants, incorporate it into your daily routine. I like to add it to my Ningxia daily to help “cleanse” the system and provide an extra dose of nutrients.
Please note, never put your oils into a plastic or Styrofoam cup. Stick with stainless steel and glass.
All the ways to use Lemon…
-I like to call it “Nature’s Goo Gone”. Use it to remove residues from sticky surfaces.
-Drop a few drops into a grimy pan. Add hot water, let sit for five minutes and you are set to clean. No soaking required.
-Lemon’s antibacterial properties make it a stellar addition to your bottle of Thieves Household Cleaner. I add 5-7 drops per 16 ounces.
-Make a glass cleaner with 7-10 drops Lemon, ¼ cup vinegar, and 16 ounces of water.
-Add Lemon to a roller bottle with Thieves and Frankincense for a stellar immune support roller.
-Massage Lemon over the bridge of your nose when stuffy.
-Add Lemon oil to your favorite DIY toner or cleanser to help with clogged pores and acne.
-Add Lemon oil to DIY face mask to brighten complexion.
-Drink 1-2 drops of lemon in your water daily to for an extra support to your liver, kidneys, and circulatory system.
-Add Lemon to a roller of Peppermint and Digize for to sooth an unsettled stomach.
-Add to your DIY Soft Scrub recipe to double down on that grime.
-Diffuse with Peppermint and Rosemary while studying or trying to focus.
-Pair with Purification in the diffuser when drying to eliminate odors in your house.
-Diffuse with Thieves when an illness is being passed around the house.
-Pair with honey, apple cider vinegar, and warm water for a “healthy gut” tea. Add some Thieves for an extra boost of immune support.
I just know I am missing something on this list. Please, share the ways that you love to use your lemon oil below!
The three things that have transformed my cycle after my PCOS diagnosis…
1. My food. While I started strict and stringent with cutting sugar, dairy, and gluten, I have learned how to have a healthy balance that works for me. I am aware of when my body is inflamed and how to get back on track. The book I mention below was a HUGE eye opener. I hadn’t outgrown my dairy intolerance; it was just rearing its head in other ways.
2. Movement. Consistent movement and exercise help me with healthy energy levels, mental clarity, and overall wellness. You do NOT have to kill yourself at the gym to move. In fact, you want to make sure you keep your routine simple to make consistency more attainable.
3. This was late to the game, but since I introduced my body to a wild yam serum called Progessence Plus by Young Living, my cycle has gone from long, unpredictable, and uncomfortable, to predictable with minimal discomfort (if any). Something that I had never experienced before. It contains bioidentical natural progesterone from wild yams. To top it off, it contains a blend of essential oils that supports overall mood, inflammation, and hormones. When I initially started using it, I used it daily. I applied two drops to either my inner forearms or my outer ankles. Once things were regulated, I was able to back off a bit. Now, I apply this before bed, the last 14 days of my cycle. If you struggle to sleep around that time, apply it at night as it has helped me so much in that way!

At 38, my body is doing what it should have been doing at 26 but wasn’t.
I know in my heart, that if my nurse practitioner did not refer me to a book called, “The Natural Diet Solution for PCOS & Infertility”, my health would look different right now. Is it because this “diet” (which really was just cutting inflammatory foods), solved all my problems? No. It is because it opened my eyes to a bigger picture! My health was in my control and there were so many layers to what was impacting my body in a BIG WAY.
I will be briefly chatting about the book and serum in my stories today! If you are struggling with your cycles/hormones, start with on thing and slowly peel back to rest. You are in control!
This throwback photo of my two boys is filling me with all the gratitude and giving me all the feels!
If you are traveling over the holidays, don't forget your scarf and essential oil of choice!
Peppermint is my oil of choice this time of year. It helps me stay peppy during a long travel day, keeps smells near me fresh, and comes in handy should movement start to get to me. I like to put a drop behind my ears and on the back of my neck.
The scarf will keep you cozy, warm, and comfy! It is also a great tool to keep the aroma of your oil near. I place a couple drops of oil in the palms of my hand and swipe them along my scarf. If I am in need of some fresh aromas asap, I simply pull my scarf up to my nose. ( You could also add a drop to your mask).
If you are someone who needs some calming, grab Valor, Stress Away or Peace & Calming.
#momtip : Apply the calm oils to your scarf if you will be rocking a baby.
Travel Roller:
10 drops Peppermint
10 drops Lemon
5 drops Purification
Place in 10 mL roller bottle and top with carrier oil. Apply behind ears, along clavicle, and your travel scarf.
